"Unwavering"
Oil Painting on Paper
$175.00
There is an unmistakable intensity in the gaze of a common loon. In “Unwavering,” the close composition brings that brilliant red eye forward, while the bird’s deep greens and blacks emerge against a quiet, watery background. The intimate perspective offers a chance to linger over the remarkable colors, patterns, and presence of a bird most often admired from a distance.
Created with oil paint over genuine copper leaf on archival paper. The reflective qualities and dynamic nature of genuine copper allow the painting to shift subtly with changing light, creating depth and luminosity unique to this work.
