“Untamed Spirit” explores the freedom found in remaining connected to the part of ourselves that cannot be defined or contained by expectation. With its flowing mane and powerful presence, the horse becomes a reflection of authenticity, resilience, and the instinct to move through the world fully as we are.
The organic patterns of the patina were intentionally allowed to remain visible through and around the horse, their unpredictable movement becoming part of its form and reinforcing the idea that some of the most beautiful parts of our nature are the ones we allow to remain untamed.
Created with oil paint over genuine copper leaf on canvas. The reflective qualities and dynamic nature of genuine copper allow the painting to shift subtly with changing light, creating depth and luminosity unique to this work.
