"True Colors"
Oil Painting on Paper
$175.00
Barn swallows may be small, but there is nothing understated about them. In “True Colors,” this little bird sits with an almost proud lift of the head, showing off the brilliant blue and warm rust that make these familiar birds so striking. There is something wonderful about a creature simply appearing as it is, bold, beautiful, and entirely itself.
Created with oil paint over genuine copper leaf on archival paper. The reflective qualities and dynamic nature of genuine copper allow the painting to shift subtly with changing light, creating depth and luminosity unique to this work.
