"Room to Breathe"
Oil paint on pure copper leaf
$940.00
There is something especially lovely about seeing such a tiny bird surrounded by so much open space. In “Room to Breathe,” a hummingbird rests beneath a delicate sweep of leaves while warm copper and patina stretch quietly around it. The simplicity of the composition gives both the bird and the surrounding space a chance to be noticed.
Created with oil paint over genuine copper leaf on canvas. The reflective qualities and dynamic nature of genuine copper allow the painting to shift subtly with changing light, creating depth and luminosity unique to this work.
