“Lit From Within” explores the idea that our light does not come from what surrounds us, but from something already present within. With its luminous plumage and radiant presence, the cockatoo becomes a reflection of that inner vitality, a reminder that what makes us shine is not something we need to seek or earn, but something we already carry.
Glimpses of copper were intentionally allowed to emerge through layers of transparent paint, creating a luminosity that comes quite literally from beneath the surface and becoming part of the meaning behind the piece.
