“In Flight” is a series of eight oil paintings created over copper leaf with patina, each 8 x 10 inches in size. The luminous ground of copper, altered through the patina process, introduces organic variations that echo the shifting, unpredictable nature of life. Against this surface, swallows are depicted in motion, their forms refined in oil to capture the grace and rhythm of flight. Long symbolic of freedom, rebirth, and spirituality, the swallow becomes both subject and metaphor—each painting a meditation on resilience and connection, and together a unified expression of beauty carried on the currents of change.
