“Grounded” explores the strength found in remaining connected to what is steady and true within us. The horse, emerging from the patinaed surface, becomes a symbol of presence and inner stability, a reminder that being grounded does not mean standing still, but knowing where we stand.
The natural variations of the patina were intentionally allowed to remain visible through the horse, connecting her form to the earthlike surface beneath. The marks and changes within the copper become part of her story, reflecting how our own experiences shape us while the essence of who we are remains.
