"Dwelling Within: Wide Eyed"
Oil paint on pure copper leaf
$340.00
There is something endearing about wide, curious eyes. Tucked safely within its hollow, this little owl peers out with an expression of innocence and curiosity. "Wide Eyed" celebrates the wonder of discovery and the comfort of having a safe place from which to observe the world. The dark hollow draws attention to the owl's expressive face, while the surrounding pure copper brings warmth and light to the composition.
Created with oil paint over genuine copper leaf on canvas. The reflective qualities and dynamic nature of genuine copper allow the painting to shift subtly with changing light, creating depth and luminosity unique to this work.
