“Dwelling Within: Safe” is rendered in warm copper browns, soft creams, and luminous golden eyes, capturing a burrowing owl nestled within the protective boundary of its underground shelter. The circular opening creates a strong sense of enclosure and security, while the direct gaze maintains a quiet awareness from within its refuge. The surrounding darkness allows the owl’s features to emerge gradually, balancing stillness with watchful presence.
Pure copper leaf is applied over a textured ground, creating a tactile surface that reflects and shifts with changing light.
