Between Flights"
Oil paint on pure copper leaf
$650.00
A barn swallow pauses among the cattails, caught in a moment of stillness between flights. The sweeping grasses suggest movement around the perched bird, while its blue feathers stand in contrast to the warmth of the copper.
Created with oil paint over genuine copper leaf on canvas. The reflective qualities and dynamic nature of genuine copper allow the painting to shift subtly with changing light, creating depth and luminosity unique to this work.
12" x 12" x 1.5" Gallery wrapped canvas.
Oil paint on 100% pure copper leaf.
