“Bear No. 1” is rendered in warm sienna browns, muted copper tones, and soft charcoal shadows, capturing the bear in a quiet moment of rest and observation. The lowered posture and side profile create a sense of calm weight and stillness, while the close cropping allows attention to settle on the subtle shifts in texture and directional mark-making throughout the fur.
