"A Secret Place"
Oil paint on pure copper leaf
$330.00
There is something special about discovering a hummingbird in a quiet corner of the world. In “A Secret Place,” the tiny bird rests beneath a sweep of delicate leaves, nearly tucked away within the rich layers of copper and patina surrounding it. Its smallness is part of the beauty, a reminder of how much can be waiting for us in the places we might otherwise overlook.
Created with oil paint over genuine copper leaf on canvas. The reflective qualities and dynamic nature of genuine copper allow the painting to shift subtly with changing light, creating depth and luminosity unique to this work.
